We flock to the sea
The sapphire sea
Our wrongs be blessed
With brine and shell
We return to the great beauty
We fear the known
And get lost alone
Drifting in and away from this self
Clutter and chatter on a cliff
Dive down to feel a chill
Be that unknown
And float away with
The curious current
Beneath
Mother and Son

Empathy
At times in life I come across empathy challenges. Even though emotion inside is strong (usually coming from a selfish or controlling place) and usually transferring into frustration or anger. What I need to do, in order to restore peace inside my mind and body, is to turn on the empathy. To try and put myself in their place. Not to assume what they're feeling... Sometimes if your lucky, you can ask the person how they are feeling and they may know the truth and be able to express it. If not... It's up to me to turn on my empathy hose.
Being a mother, this is a good tool to have. It helps with a short temper and especially when your breastfeeding and your hormones are jumpin around the place.
One day at a time. I must remind myself! At the end of each day I like to think about the good and not so good decisions I've made that day. It helps with putting the thought into practice.
I like to blog...
Because I feel like sayin a whole bunch of stuff for people to hear.
Have a lovely evening

Making my own almond milk
Well, when I have an idea for a little project, I have to remember to give myself at least a week to accomplish the task. I am in the process of making my own almond milk!! I've soaked the almonds in water... I've had to buy agave syrup, fine mesh sieve and some glass jars from the shop. So as soon as kaspar wakes up I'll be able to get them out of the car and start the process! Gahhh! Sometimes I feel like I'm trapped indoors!! But all I need to do is lower my expectations and slowwww down a lot. It was really windy today... Kaspar and I were out and about today- geez it was a challenge. No shop had enough room in the aisles for a pram, no shop took eftpos, I had no cash, kaspar was screaming, I had to sit outside at a cafe with the really windyness with napkins and bags flying everywhere, my hair zooshing around and people staring at us. Oh my. So I just got in the car and put on classic fm and ate my ham roll, weeping- kaspar fell asleep...
Wow- I have only been a mum for 7 months now and i am still getting the hang of it all and keeping calm in the process.
When I go through these difficult times I think of all the other mothers out there going through a similar thing.

Disco Therapy
I am creating a place and a space for ANY BODY who feels like they want to move they're bodies, WITH OUT drugs, alcohol. We will be moving our bodies to some amazing music! The lights will be dim, the space will be creative, the people will be respectful and playful. These classes/sessions will take place in 107 redfern st, Sydney, In August 2012.
I will have a 1 hr class earlier on during the week to experiment with our own movement vocabularies. So, at the end of the week....at the 'free movers disco', you'll be more physically able and a bit more confident with your body.
Its so important to move with our bodies in a 'non structural' way- so that we can learn to access parts of our bodies (which includes our minds = emotions/nervous systems). Why do we want to access these parts? Because when we know more about ourselves...our relationships improve and our confidence improves. People forget about their hips and their legs. we are so caught up in our heads! so lets get disco therapying!!!! Whoever is interested...please keep on reading these blogs. There's more info to come~ Lets get into ourselves to get over ourselves!!!!!

bicarb of soda
ok. this is getting serious- you can virtually use bicarb of soda for everything!!!! its a natural deoderiser, facial exfoliant, it makes your hair shiny if you add with your shampoo, it makes things clean all over the house, wash your baby in it! drink some if you've got bad gas, put some on your fanny if you've got thrush, mix with vinegar for an amazing clothing powder, and the list chuggs along! Im a bit into it.
I used to spend soooo much dough on amazing beauty and household products that actually were a bit shit. so everyone! go out and buy some bicarb of soda for 99 cents and your savings and your life will change.

In Fields of Ash
Ok we've landed. we've landed on a family song line! i was concieved in one street down from where i live! a full circle. filled with special magic. family has such an effect on us. some of us try to escape our families... but i have faced my fears and moved in right beside them. I feel like we are communicating really well. so far so good! ohhhhh holy bejesus! it feels so good to be in a home with my beautiful son and my amazing man. The hardest part was landing. I found it hard to just let go and relax. To just sit on my couch in an empty room and just lap it up. I ended up unpacking the whole kitchen and nursery in one afternoon. I guess 4 months of nesting deprivation had an effect on me.
Now i have a home! Clarity! the future! Nesty westy! west is best! yeahhhhhh!
we had two weeks without tv, radio, internet and music. annnd it was o.k. i had my 6 month old son keeping me making up weird songs that were'nt really in tune, but they had a great rhythm!
